About Club Tennis

 

American University Club Tennis is a student-run organization founded in 2008. The team has a competitive men’s and women’s component. The team holds 4 coed practices each week and competes in matches against other local universities during the weekends, as well as invitational tournaments which comprise of up to 16 schools from all over the east coast. The matches are usually comprised of 4-5 singles matches and 3-4 doubles matches for the men’s and women’s components respectively. Club tennis also organizes a few team dinners and fun activities, such as taco drives, for its members each semester. The team plays in the fall and the spring. Currently, the team does not have access to indoor courts or floodlights, so the team does not play during the winter season. The tennis team is looking to expand its reach on campus and welcomes new members each semester to come try out!
